Given perpendicular = 3cm, Base = 4cm, Hypotenuse = x.

We know that (Hypotenuse)^2 = (Perpendicular)^2 + (base)^2

= > (x)^2 = (3)^2 + (4)^2

= > (x)^2 = 9 + 16

= > (x)^2 = 25

= > (x)^2 = (5)^2

= > x = 5.

So, Hypotenuse = 5cm.

Now,

We know that cos b = Base/Hypotenuse

= > 4/5.

Hope this helps!
