Answer:

PERSON A sells a car priced at ₹36,000 .

He gives a discount of 8% on the first ₹20,000

So discount amount = 20000× 8/100 = 1600

Also 5% on remaining ₹16,000

Discount amount = 16000× 5/100 = 800

So total discount = 1600+800=2400

Actual price for person A

= 36000 - 2400 = 33600

PERSON B sells a car priced at ₹36,000 .

sells a car priced at ₹36,000 . He gives a discount of 7%

So discount amount = 36000× 7/100 = ₹ 2520

So actual price for Person B

=36000 - 2520

= 33480
