Hi there!
There can be more than one answer to this. Controlling others can be correlated with Personality Traits as well as a normal part of a personality.
Some Personality Character including this can be:
a. Neuroticism.
A personality trait where a person is likely to have Intelligence, charm but lacking empathy and bonding ability.
Even though one attracts others but that world of inner feelings is not created because of various reasons. These people develop mental disorders and thus, harming behavior to society.
b. Perfectionist:
Setting Very high standards for self and demanding the same from others.
They tend to seek "maximization" and they are always up with a TO-DO list.
The problem with this is that, that ToDo list is never ending. Seeking maximum outcomes from all or most situations often Drain us of our Happiness. And leaves us for more.
Perfectionism causes judgment and a need to control. It causes the need to control because of a need to achieve HIGH Goals all the time.
Hope it helps!
