Oxyhemoglobin. Oxyhemoglobin is formed during physiological respiration when oxygen binds to the heme component of the proteinhemoglobin in red blood cells. Thisprocess occurs in the pulmonary capillaries adjacent to the alveoli of the lungs.

The process of combination of Oxygen with haemoglobin which occurs in lungs to form an oxygen rich compound called Oxyhaemoglobin. Here oxygen bonds with the iron component of haemoglobin to form a compound of Fe-O2 complex in Red blood cells. This occours in the heart at the pulmonary capillary.
