Selling price of an insect killing equipment = $ 40

Cost of the shop = $20

Operating expense =

= 20% of regular selling price

= 20% of 40

 =  \frac{\texttt{20}}{\texttt{100}}  \texttt{ \: × \:  40}

 =  \frac{\texttt{20×40}}{\texttt{100}}

 =  \frac{\texttt{800}}{\texttt{100}}

 =$ 8

So, the operating expense of the shop is = $8 .

Cost price :-

 = \texttt{20 + 8 }

 = $ 28

So, the the shop spends $28 for making each and every equipment .

Profit the shop makes :-

\hookrightarrow \: \texttt{\color{olive}profit = \color{hotpink}selling \: price \:   -  \: cost \: price}

\texttt{ = 40 - 28}

 = $ 12

Therefore, the shop will earn a profit of $12 on every sale .
