Now by adding the work of both in one minute we get the part of work completed by both in one minute.

$= \frac{1}{440} + \frac{1}{60} \\ lcm \: of \: 440 \: and \: 60 = 1320 \\ = \frac{3 + 22}{1320} \\ = \frac{25}{1320} \\ = \frac{5}{284}$
They complete the work= 1÷5/284
= 284/5
= 56.8minutes
