Answer: Rina has more chances

Step-by-step explanation:

Case 1: Peter

Total no. of outcomes=36

Favourable=1(5,5)

Probability=1/36

Case 2: Rina

Total outcomes=6

Favourable=1 i. e. 5

Probability = 1/6

And 1/6>1/36

Therefore Rina has more chances

Avi0102: I have solved this question using probability. Peter threw two dies and whenever we throw two dies there are 36 possible outcomes(you can google that). Now he multiplied the two number obtained. But the only favourable outcome that is obtaining 25 after multiplying is only one when he gets 5 on both the dies.
Avi0102: Probability for Peter = 1/36
Avi0102: Now for Rina since she is throwing only one dice there are 6 possible outcomes. Now she squared the no. she obtained. She will get 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36. From this only 25 is required which is obtained when she gets 5. This there is only 1 favourable outcome.
Avi0102: Probability for rina= 1/6
Avi0102: Comparing both of them 1/6 is greater than 1/36. Therefore Rina has more chances. Hope it is clear to you now : D
