Suppose 100 ltr of petrol used in a period. Take price of petrol is 100 Rs.

Total Rs. for petrol = 10000

Price increased to 105 (5%)

Now the quantity for same amount

= 10000÷105 = 95.238 (approx)

Now the decrease in quantity =

4.762 ltr.

In percentage 4.762 %
