Answer:

hope it helps....

Step-by-step explanation:

when rate of petrol was 50.50 then amount of petrol = 10 litres

now new price is 46.50

so, new amount = 10.86 litres

so, increase in petrol in rs. 505 = 0.86 litres

Answer:

petrol price was 50.50

in 50.50 I can get 1 litre of water

in 1 rs I can get 1/50.50 litres

in 505 rs I can get 1/50.50*505

=10 litres

but price reduced to 46.50

in rs 46.50,petrol =1 litre

in rs 1 , petrol=1/46.50

in rs 505, petrol=1/46.50*505

=10.86 litre

now, 10.86-10=.86 litre

hence I will be able to get .86 litre more petrol.
