Soft Drinks are known to have high levels of refined carbohydrates like sucrose and glucose, which produces high acid content. The citric acids and citrates bind to the calcium in the teeth which keeps the pH low for longer periods of time.

The acid content in aerated drinks can be measured by pH values or by measuring the titratable acidity.

Aerated drinks supposedly have pH values that range from around 4 and down.
Colorless aerated drinks have a pH starting from 4, which lowers up to 2.9 or so, as the acidic color increases. This can be identified by using the pHydrion paper, which is a laboratory pH paper, which indicates that orange-red color is the end of the spectrum.
