We have, pH = -log  [H+]

so, [H+] = 10-pH

Here, pH = 6.95

So, concentration  [H+]=  10-6.95 = 1.12 x 10-7 M

So, molarity of HCl solution is 1.12 x 10-7.

Given:

pH of HCl solution = 6.95

To find:

Molarity of HCl = ?

Formula to be used:

pH = -log[H^+]

Calculation:

As HCl is acid, it releases H^+ ions. Thus its concentration must be considered to the calculate the molarity of the solution.

∴ pH = -log[H^+]

[H^+] = 10^{-pH}

Thus substituting the given values in the following formula

[H^+] = 10^{-pH}

[H^+] = 10^{-6.95}

The standard value for 10^{-6.95} is equal to 11.22\times10^{-8}.

[H^+] = 1.12\times 10^{-7}

Conclusion:

Thus the molarity of the HCl solution is calculated as 1.12\times 10^{-7}.
