The aqueous solution of the nitrogen dioxide is acidic in nature because the solution contains H+ ions.
And that's why the pH value of the nitrogen dioxide solution is less than 7.
Because,we know that every acidic solution has a pH value which is less than 7 and oppositely the basic solutions have a pH value of greater than 7.
