acids are products which when dissolves in aqueous solution gives h+ ion e.g. H2SO4, HCl etc. acids are generally nonmetal oxides

bases are the compounds which donates their OH-ve or O -ve ion on dissolving in aqueous solution. e.g. NH4 bases are generally metal oxides..
salts produce neither of the ions in the aqueous solutions e.g Nacl ,KCl ,NaOh etc

ph scale is a scale on which the strength of acid solution as well as basich solution could be represented by making use of hydrogen ion concentration in them. the strength of an acid or base is measured on the pH scale. it has values from 0-14 . if the no. on pH scale is less the acid is strong and of the no. is more in pH scale it is more alkaline.

hope it helps:)
