phenol is more acidic than ethanol.why?

Answer:

Acidity depends upon their tendency of releasing Hydrogen atom or tendency to accept electron .

phenol is more acidic than ethanol , because- Phenol can lose the hydrogen ion very easily as delocalization of electrons takes place in phenols by resonance.
