However when isolated the salt from the mixture it would be decomposed and became phenol or phenolic compound. I tried to use crystallization or Column chromatography NR RP but it failed am preparing the sodium salt of phenol and other phenolic compounds. It was easy to dissolve phenol and some phenolic compounds in NaOH solution due to reaction between -OH group and NaOH then form sodium salt.
