Phenolphthalein is a acid base indicator. It is given that When Phenolphthalein is added to Sodium Hydroxide ( NaOH ) Which is a Base.

Phenolphthalein when added to Acid it forms a Colour less Solution. When Phenolphthalein is added to Base it reacts and forms a Pinkish Solution.

Phenolphthalein Is Reacted to NaOH which is a base And hence It forms a Pink Solution and It can be Nullified when acid is reacted to it.
