Phenotypic Ratio

Explanation:

    (a)Phenotypic ratio in co-dominance is  1 : 2 : 1.

  • Codominance is a heterozygous condition in which both alleles at a gene locus are fully expressed in the phenotype.
  • In codominance, neither phenotype is completely dominant. This phenomenon is commonly seen in ABO blood group system.
  • When any other blood group (A, B or AB) is crossed with O blood group, then the phenotypic ratio is obtained as 1:1. Both the genes are equally expressed.
