Phileas Fogg is the fictional hero of French novelist Jules Verne’s (1828 – 1905) travel adventure, ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’, written in 1873.

It is the story of Phileas Fogg, who makes a wager with members of London’s Reform Club that he can go around the world in 80 days. He is accompanied in his travel by the Frenchman, Passepartout and following a series of adventures and misadventures, he finally makes it back to England and the club, to win his wager.
