phosphorous forms PCl5 while nitrogen cannot form NCl5. why?

Nitrogen atom do not have vacant d-orbitals. Thus, the transfer of electron does not takes place. ... As a result electron in 3s-orbital get transfer into vacant 3d-orbital and forms five unpaired electron. Thats why phosphorus forms PCl5.
