Answer:

This is a list of Monuments of National Importance (ASI) as officially recognized by and available through the website of the Archaeological Survey of India in the Indian state Meghalaya.[1] The monument identifier is a combination of the abbreviation of the subdivision of the list (state, ASI circle) and the numbering as published on the website of the ASI. 8 Monuments of National Importance have been recognized by the ASI in Meghalaya.

Answer:

Nartiang Monoliths – These exist throughout the Khasi and Jaintia Hills. However, the biggest collection of monoliths can be witnessed in the north of the Nartiang market.  These are usually flat stones erected in the upright position. The site has been declared of national importance in the year 1958. Monoliths are a symbol of remembrance in the Jaintia Hills.
