I totally agree that it is purifying the air as we humans leave carbon dioxide which very essential for photosynthesis and this carbon dioxide is converted to oxygen which is needed for respiration and this results in purifying the air

photosynthesis is a air purifying process because when photosynthesis occurs the plants take (Carbon dioxide + water ) as a substance from environment where carbon dioxide is not good for heterotrophs and convert it into gulcose and also release oxygen as byproduct .hence it purifying process.
