Blue-blooded animals. Octopus blood is bluebecause it contains a protein called Harmocyanin. The protein is responsible for keeping the species alive at extreme temperatures. Most molluscs, such as squid and cuttlefish and arthropods like lobsters and horseshoe crabs, are also blue blooded.
