Salts are the product of neutralization reaction. It means when acid react with base to form salt and water.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTIC OF SALTS:-

a). Salts pass electricity in molten state but not in solid state. So that salts are used as an electrolytes in electrolysis process.

b). Due to strong electrostatic force of attraction between ions in salts, the melting point of salt is high.

c). Salts are dissolved in water. It means salts are soluble in water.

d). Salts aren't dissolved in organic solvents. It means salts are insoluble in organic solvents.
