Physical properties of ethanol and ethanoic acid!!

Difference on the basis of physical properties :
1. Ethanol is a pleasant smelling compound while Ethanoic acid is a pungent smelling compound.
2. The boiling point of Ethanol is lower (351 K) than Ethanoic acid (391K).
3. Ethanol is the only hydrocarbon which is soluble in water in all proportions while ethanoic acid is miscible with water in all proportions.

Ethanol acid ....
It is Colourless and highly inflammable liquid.
It is soluble in water in all proportions.
It has no effect on litmus solution.
It has a distinct smell and burning taste....

Ethanoic acid .....
It's boiling point is 118 degree Celsius. (391 K)
It burns in air with pale yellow flame.
It is soluble in water, alcohol and ether in all proportions.
It is good solvent for phosphorus, sulphur, iodine etc...
