Thermocol is a good insulator and a bad conductor of heat. When ice is kept in it, it does not allow the coldness of it to get away and radiates the coldness back into it. Thermocol ice boxes are used in hotels, dairies, restaurants, ice-cream parlors, homes, etc for storing ice for a long period.
