Let, the starting point of the lady be A.

While going she took auto and the distance travelled by auto is 5km at 20km/h. So, let's find the time taken by her.


✨ Forward Journey -

v = 20 km/h

s = 5 km/h

 \therefore \: speed \: = \: \frac{distance}{time}

t \: = \frac{d}{v}

t \: = \: \frac{5}{20}

t = \frac{1}{4} \: (hr)

t \: = \: 15 \: min

So, in 15 min. the lady reached her office.


She remains at office upto 5'o clock, so there was no displacement i.e from 'B' to 'C'.

After that she returns her home by walking at the speed of 10 km/h.


So, now let's find the time taken by her while reaching home.

✨ Return Journey -

v = 10 km/h

s = 5 km/h

time \: = \frac{distance}{speed}

t = \frac{5}{10}

t \: = \frac{1}{2} (hr)

t = 30 \: min
