Given :-

  • Parallel sides of Trapezium are = 10cm & 5cm.
  • Area of Trapezium = 45cm.²

To Find :-

  • Height of Trapezium.?

Formula used :-

  • Area of Trapezium = (1/2) * ( sum of Parallel sides) * Height .

Solution :-

Putting Values We get :-

→ 45 = (1/2) * ( 10 + 5) * Height

→ 15 * Height = 45 * 2

→ Height = 3 * 2

→ Height = 6cm. (Option D) (Ans.)

Properties of Trapezium :-

Some of the important properties of a trapezium are as follows:

  • In trapezium, exactly one pair of opposite sides are parallel.
  • The diagonals intersect each other.
  • The non-parallel sides in the trapezium are unequal except in isosceles trapezium.
  • The line that joins the mid-points of the non-parallel sides is always parallel to the bases or parallel sides which is equal to half the sum of the parallel sides.

\huge\tt{GIVEN:}

  • A trapezium whose area is 45cm²
  • Two lines of a trapezium whose lengths are 10 cm & 5 cm

\huge\tt{TO~FIND:}

  • The height of the trapezium.

\huge\tt{SOLUTION:}

As we know that,

➩Area of trapezium = 1/2 × sum of the parallel lines × Height

➩45 = 1/2×(10+5)×Height

➩15×Height = 45 × 2

➩Height = 45×2/15

➩Height = 3×2

➩Height = 6 cm

Therefore,The height of the trapezium is 6 centimetres
