Pick out the irony in the tittle of drama " the dear departed"

the title explains that their grandfather who has been departed here  is believed to be dear to his daughters and sons-in-law...while here actually they do not regret his sudden passing away neither they were bothered to know if he is  dead or not ... .they do pretend that they are sad but they actually look forward for his property and wealth ..Even they can't wait for the last rites of his burial.. So, no one is grieved at his departure.... In this way, we can say that the title of this drama  ' The Dear Departed' is an ironical statement of dying love and absence of filial obligations.
