It might be filter paper or the sugar solution.
The filtrate is the liquid that goes through the filter paper, while the residue is filtered out. A sugar solution is made of a solvent and sugar, while a suspension is a mixture in which a substance is insoluble to the solvent and ends up floating on top of the solvent (e.g. oil and water)
Why the filter paper might be the odd one out:
- It isn't a mixture, or something similar (e.g. filtrate and residue)
- It is something that you use in a lab (or somewhere else) as a tool
Why the sugar solution might be the odd one out:
- It is WAY too specific compared to the others.
Hope this helps!
