3y-2=13

3y=13+2

y=¹⁵/3

y=5

hence 5 is the solution of the equation

u can also do it by putting the values in bracket like

(i)

3y-2=13

put y=4

12-2=13

10 is not equal to 13 hence 4 isn't the solution of the given equation

(ii)

put y=2

6-2 is not equal to 13

hence 2 is also not the solution of the given equation

(iii)

put y =5

3x5-2=13

15-2=13

13=13

hence 5 is the solution of given equation

hope it help you plzz mark as as brainliest
