Given :-

  • Total students in section D in college x are = 6500
  • Total boys = 48% .

To Find :-

  • Total number of girls in the section D. ?

Solution :-

we have given that, their are 48% boys in the section D.

So,

→ Total Boys in section D = 48% of total students

→ Total boys = 48% of 6500

→ Total boys = (48 * 6500) / 100

→ Total boys = 48 * 65

→ Total boys = 3120 .

Therefore,

Total girls in section D = Total students - Total boys .

→ Total girls = 6500 - 3120

→ Total girls = 3380 (Ans.)

we have given that, their are 48% boys in the section D.

we can say that, rest % of the students left are girls.

So,

→ Total girls in section D = 100% - 48% = 52% .

Therefore,

Total girls in section D = 52% of total students

→ Total girls = 52% of 6500

→ Total girls = (52 * 6500) / 100

→ Total girls = 52 * 65

→ Total girls = 3380 (Ans.)
