Pigeons like mammals, have a 4-chambered heart comprising 2 atria and  2 ventricles, with completely separate  oxygenated and de-oxygenated bloodchambers.

The right ventricle’s function is to pumps blood to the lungs, while the left ventricle pumps blood to the rest of the body.

The right atrium made  larger than the left in pigeons.

The wall of these chambers consists of the samemuscle components like  mammals have.

The endocardium is found as the inside lining, the middle myocardium and the outer.
