Nādi Astrology (nāḍi jyotiṣa) is a form of Dharma astrology practised in Tamil Nadu, and adjacent regions in India. It is based on the belief that the past, present, and future lives of all humans were foreseen by Hindu sages in ancient time.[1][2][3] Nadi astrology uses a tropical zodiac system.[2] Sidereal zodiac systems coincided with tropical zodiac systems around 2,000 years ago, but have now drifted apart due to sidereal systems not accounting for the precession of the equinoxes while tropical systems do.[4]
