Answer :-

  • Rosy covered more distance than Pinky by 230m.

Step-by-step explanation :-

To Find,

  • Who covers more distance and how much ??

Solution,

Given that,

  • Side of a square field which Pinky runs = 75m
  • Length and Breadth of the rectangular field in which Rosy runs = 160m and 105m respectively

Figure,

  • Refer the attachment.

Therefore,

As we know that,

Perimeter of the square = 4 × a

Where,

  • a = side

And given side of the square is 75m, therefore,

Perimeter = 4a

➛ 4 × 75m

➛ 300m ★

Hence, the perimeter of the square is 300m.

As we know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

Where,

  • l = Length
  • b = Breadth

And given length and breadth is 160m and 105m respectively, therefore,

Perimeter = 2 ( l + b )

➛ 2 ( 160 + 150 ) m

➛ 2 × 265

➛ 530m ★

Hence, the perimeter of the rectangular field is 530m.

Now, who covered more distance and how much,

We got,

Distance covered by Pinky = 300m

Distance covered by Rosy = 530

Hence, Rosy covered more distance than Pinky, by,

➛ 530m - 300m

➛ 230m

Hence, Rosy covered 230m more than Pinky.

Answer:

 \huge \: required \: answer

As we know that

Perimeter (rectangle)=2×(l+b)

Perimeter (square)=4×side

Distance covered by pinky:-

Perimeter=4×side

Perimeter=4×75

Perimeter=300m

Pinky covers a distance of 300m

Perimeter=2(l+b)

Perimeter=2(160+105)

Perimeter-2(265)

Perimeter=530m

Rosy covers more distance and by (530-300) 230m.

Hope it helps!
