Pipe A admits 16 Its of water every 3 minutes and Pipe B admits 23 Its of water every 5 minutes. How much time will
it take to fill a tank of capacity 745 Its?​

In 1- minute A- pours = 4/3- litres

In 1- minute B- pours= 3/4- litres

So in 1- min A + B- pours= 4/3+3/4 = (16+9)/12=25/12- litres.

Therefore time taken to fill 100& litres in Cistern = 100/(25/12)= 100 x (12/25) = 48- minutes.

In 48- minutes A-will pour =(4/3)x 48 =64- litres of water.

In 48- minutes B-will pour = (3/4) x 48 =36- litres

So total (64+36)= 100- LITRES.
