Step-by-step explanation:

pipe pipe A can fill a tank in 3 hours

in one hour pipe A can fill 1 upon 3 of the tank pipe B can fill it in 4 hours

in one hour B can fill 1 upon 4 of tank

pipe (A+B) can together fill =1 +1=4+3

3 4. 12. =7

12 of pipe C can empty the tank in 6 hours

in one pipe C can empty 1 upon 6 of the tank

pipe A,B and C together take 12 upon 5=2 whole 2 upon 5 hours to fill up the tank and tank will be half full in = 1 × 12

2. 5. hrs

=6

5. = 1 whole 1 upon 5 hour
