let the tank water storage capacity is 1000
liters
pipe A fills the tank in 5hrs(1000 lt)
therefore pipe a gives water in 1hr
1000/5= 200 liters
pipe B fills the tank in 10hrs(1000 lt)
therefore pipe a gives water in 1hr
1000/10= 100 liters
in 2hrs both pipes are giving water
(200+100)×2=600 liters
after 2hrs remaining space in tank
1000lts-600lts= 400 Lts
so pipe B take time to fill remaining space of tank =400/100= 4hrs
