Pipe A can fill a tank in 10 hours
In 1 hour A can fill 1/10 of the tank
Pipe B can fill the same tank in 15 hours
In 1 hour B can fill 1/15 of the tank
In 1 hour both the pipes can fill:
1/10 + 1/15 = 5/30 = 1/6 of the tank
1 hour== 1/6 of the tank
x hours== 1 part
x = 6 hours
Hence the tank will be filled in 6 hours.
