Answer:

Part filled by A in 1 hr =1/10

Part filled by B in 1 hr =1/15

Part filled by A and B in 1 hr =1/10+1/15

=5/30

=1/6

TIME TAKEN BY AB TO FILL= 1/ 1/6

=6

Given,

  • Time taken by Pipe A = 10 hr
  • Time taken by Pipe B = 15 hr

\boxed{\bold{\sf{Time \ Taken \ by \ A \ and \ B =\dfrac{1}{A}+\dfrac{1}{B} }}}

\sf{\implies Time \ Taken =\dfrac{1}{10}+\dfrac{1}{15} }

\sf{\implies Time \ Taken =\dfrac{15+10}{10\times15}}

\sf{\implies Time \ Taken =\dfrac{25}{150}}

\sf{\implies Time \ Taken =\dfrac{1}{6}}

\boxed{\bold{\sf{Time \ Taken \ by \ AB =\dfrac{1}{\dfrac{1}{A}+\dfrac{1}{B} }}}}

\sf{\implies Time \ Taken  =\dfrac{1}{\dfrac{1}{6} }}

\sf{\implies Time \ Taken  =6 \ hours}

\huge{\boxed{\bold{\sf{\therefore Time \ Taken =6 \ hours}}}}
