Explanation:

They are found in the nitrogen deficient soil. That is why they trap and digest insects to absorb nutrients. Venus flytrap, pitcher plant and cobra lily are some of the insectivorous plants' names. They are often called Carnivorous plants.

We know that pitcher plants are insectivorous in nature coz....where the plant grows , the soils hv less nitrogen..and without nitrogen plants can't survive...and we also know that insects are rich source of nitrogen so, to get nitrogen in their body they hv to be insectivorous in nature..
