The glands in human body are also divided in two parts, namely, endocrine glands and exocrine glands.

The endocrine glands are concerned with the production of hormones and the exocrine gland mainly deals with the digestive juices and enzymes.

Pancreas glands are considered to be both exocrine and endocrine because they produce digestive enzymes to break down the protein, carbohydrate and lipid in the food, as well as the hormones like glucagon and insulin.

Heya !!

Here is your answer...

Pancreas is both exocrine and endocrine gland that is it is a type of heterocrine gland.

Endocrine glands release hormones while exocrine glands release digestive enzymes to digest the components of food.

Pancreas release hormones such as glucagon and insulin while it releases enzymes to digest carbohydrates, protein etc.

Hope it helps..
