• Total pieces 7 m thread = 20
• Total thread left = 2 m

Given :-

• Total length of thread = 142 m

To Find :-

• Total pieces 7 m thread = ?
• Total thread left = ?

Explanation :-

As above given, we have the total length of thread and we have to find the number of pieces of 7 m from the given the length of the thread and also left thread.

$\rm : \; \implies No. \; of \; thread \; of \; 7 \; m = \dfrac{142}{7}$

 

As we know, 142 is not divisible by 7. But 140 is divisible by 7. So, we will use 140 and we will subtract 140 from 142.

$\rm : \; \implies No. \; of \; thread \; of \; 7 \; m = \dfrac{140}{7} \; Pieces$
