Answer:

x = at + bt²

Since x is the distance the dimension of x will be [ L ] .

Since dimensions do not change when added , so both at and bt² should have the same dimensions as that of x .

at = [ L ]

But t is time . So the dimensions of a should be [ L T⁻¹ ] .

The dimension of bt² is [ L ] .

So the dimensions of b should be [ L T⁻² ] because the dimension of t is [ T ]
