1. To pull somebody/something along with difficulty.

2.Surface – ice, grass, sand, tarmac, road etc there are two equal and opposite forces acting.

(a) the downwards force of you on the road – your weight (vertical red arrow) and

(b) the upward force of the road on you (vertical blue arrow).

3.a.Friction produces unnecessary heat leading to the wastage of energy.

b.The force of friction acts in the opposite direction of motion, so friction slows down the motion of moving objects.
