DEFINITION OF EVOLUTION:
Evolution is the process of acquiring change or The scientific idea that plants and animals developed gradually from simple to more complicated forms.
Process of evolution are as follows:
1.Most life forms that we see today had variations that acccumulated overs to allow the organisms possessing them to survive better.
Examples:Elongation of neck and forelimbs in giraffe,Human evolution ( From Homo habilus to Homo sapiens-present man) ,different life process (nutrition,circulation,excretion,reproduction,etc) evolved through evolution and many more .
FOSSILS:Fossils are evidences of ancient life forms or ancient habitats which have been preserved by natural processes.
-They provide us actual remains of once lived such as bones or seeds or even traces of past events.
Examples - Dinosarus , Archeopterxy(acts as a connecting linkage between aves and reptiles),etc
The study of fossils is called Palaeontology .It determine the age of fossils by using carbon dating method..

since fossils are the dead remains of animals which existed millions of years before.....the provides information about the organisms of that tym n help the scientists to study and find more about our ancestors from which we have evolved.... nd hence..the provide evidence in support of evolution.
