Length = 20 m and Breadth = 20 m

Let length of rectangle = x metres

Let breadth of rectangle = y metres

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(x+y) metres

2(x+y) = 80

x+y = 40.......(i)

Now Area = 400 m^2

x×y = 400 m^2

xy = 400.......(ii)

From (i) and (ii),

x = 20 m

y = 20 m

So length of rectangle = 20 metres

and breadth of rectangle = 20 metres

[Actually it is a square]
