→ potential resources: resources which are present in many parts of country but have not been utilized are called potential resources.

→examples of potential resources are

★in Rajasthan there is enough sunlight , but still the sun's energy is not utilized i.e the solar equipments are not generated because of its high cost

★ mineral oils are still located in many regions of india where sedimentary rocks can be found but it is not utilized in the form of energy

★ wind, solar, geothermal and tidal energy are all examples of potential resources
