Place a coin at the bottom of glass jar containing water now tilt the jar suitably when viewed at suitable angle, coin appears to be floating. why?

Because the speed if light changes when the light travels from rarer to denser medium(water) and there will be bending of light rays at the interface.
So it appears that the depth where coin is will increase and appears to be floating.
