Given :  Place the digits 8, 10, 11, 12, and 13 in the circles to make the sums across and vertically equal 31.

To Find : arrangement /placement of numbers

Solution:

8 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 = 54

Vertical sum = Horizontal sum = 31

Vertical sum + horizontal sum = 31 + 31 = 62

62 = 54 + 8

Hence 8 should be in the middle center as it is counted twice

once vertically , and once horizontally

31 - 8 = 23

10 + 13 = 23

11 + 12 = 23
