Placenta is considered as endocrine tissue, even though it supplies O2 nd nutrients to the embryo and removal of CO2 etc.... Justify

Placenta produces some hormones, which are essential for pregnancy.
Eg : estrogen, progesterone. HPL, HCG etc.. So it is considered as endocrine

Placental hormones are inevitable for pregnancy.... So it is an endocrine gland.
